StayAU Expansive 7BR Villa Scenic Warrandyte

Very expensive for what was on offer. Positive: Location and size of bedrooms Negative: No access to the triple garage, owners stored their stuff and locked it, we had to go around the whole house to bring stuff for 5 nights, weather was rainy almost all the time so we were wet , driveway also was more than 50% used by the owner with 3 dumped caravans( before final payment we were told the caravan will be moved out for us, but we were sent blunt refusal after)our cars were squeezed around them as the driveway to the house is very narrow and useless for any parking. Laundry door was locked off, so people from the pool had been managing slipping on tiles in the living to get to the nearest bathroom in the laundry, we were promised a key to thar door but no one bothered to get back to us in 6days,we felt locked up as only 2 doors were available to us in case of emergency as well, For a group of 12 people, one half broken recliner-5 seater, No tissue boxes, pool was uncovered so dirty, cobwebs and lot of dirt under dining table , for $1.5K a night it was way too expensive ( couldn’t fit more pictures so just added the most imp ones)

The house was beautiful for a few days off. The owner came down a day before we checked out and he was wonderful. However cleanliness was just not to standard. We paid for air fresheners, rubbish bags, toilet paper, cleaning wipes and sprays. The pool was unclean and wasn’t usable as the agent initially telling us to just flick the switch on then claimed that it didn’t work. Wasn’t until the owner came down a day before check out that it was fixed but it was too cold that day. Overall was really happy with the house however definitely unhappy with the pricing and equipment at the place. I have stayed at many different holiday houses I expected a little better house care seeing the size of the house. Property is beautiful though.

The house was large enough to sleep a big group and whilst clean, was not overly comfortable. Positive: The house was large and slept a big group. The house was very clean. Dishwashing supplies were provided. Negative: There was a bad odour throughout the downstairs that wouldn’t dissipate. Window dressings in bedrooms were old and worn - in one upstairs bedroom the blinds let light in through several places in the morning. The dishwasher door latch was damaged and resulted in water leaking onto the floor when it was run. The kitchen did not have utensils we expected such as kitchen and barbecue tongs. The home was very sparse and felt a bit clinical. It seems as though almost all decor had been removed prior to renting it out. The cleaning fee of $420 felt excessive given the amount of cleaning that was expected of guests on check out.

Massive place, fun room for the kids to play in, the house had everything we needed.

The host was very easy to communicate with very welcoming and gave clear instructions on how to get into the property an Positive: The space was beautiful and the outdoor area was magnificent Negative: Not really anything was quite suitable for any family to stay
