Great location, apartment needs some TLC Positive: Location was great, easy to get around close to trams and good places to eat Negative: Shower floods, heater didn’t work, dishwasher stopped working

Great location & comfortable apartment good for up to 3 people with a car park in central Melbourne Positive: The location is excellent. Close to many restaurants, fast food eateries, Crown Casino, South Wharf DFO. Short walk to Tram stop near Crown and Convention/Exhibition Centre, also quick walk over the bridge to Flinders St station. We also walked to both the MCG and Marvel Stadium (approx 25 mins). Having a car parking space in inner city Melbourne is essential if you are driving and we were provided with good clear instructions and even a video of how to get into the reserved parking area for the apartment. Negative: I was travelling with children by car, so I needed to find a park, to get out to collect the keys. (Not an issue if traveling with two adults so one can get out while the other drives around the block). The keys include the remote for the reserved car park...so that wasn't helpful initially. When we had parked the car, we then didn't know where to enter the building. The entrance door is hidden in a corner of the carpark level which we didn't see. So maybe some instructions about where to enter the building from the carpark would make things better. (A resident helped us enter the building on a lower floor).

Beautifully styled with fantastic city views Positive: Beautifully decorated and very close to everything. The beds were exceptionally comfortable & we found ourselves speaking of them more than once! Fantastic city views that left me staring out the window for ages! Negative: The bathroom could use a squeegee mop as the shower water tends to seep out. I was left mopping the floor with the bath mat as that’s all I had available. Just prepare by walling up the opening with the mat before showering. Also, if you’re a smoker/vaper, there’s no smoking area in the building (including the garden). You’ll need to exit onto the street.

Disappointed in the poor communication from the host. Will not stay here again. Positive: The apartment was nicely furnished, spacious, centrally located, and wasn't hard to find. Negative: So awkward to collect the keys from 450m away from the property, and I wasn't told of this inconvenience until well after booking.com had taken my money. The poor communications continued by telling me 4 times (3 e-mails & 1 text) that they would send me a "check-in code" on the day of arrival, which I could use to collect my keys from the appropriate shop. After much exasperation & delay & unanswered phone calls, and with the shopkeepers being unable to help (BTW the shopkeepers were great, but they manage 200 keys and couldn't give me the right one without this magic check-in code), the host did phone back and text me the code, and I later found out that the check-in code was buried several pages down in the 3rd e-mail that told me the check-in code would come later. Neither the shopkeepers nor me could find that at the time. Then we had a 450m walk to the apartment - during which it started to rain. There was also no communication about accessing WiFi but we found it the next day (clue to any future renter - look for a small fridge magnet, it has the details on it). Further poor communication occurred with check-out requirements being e-mailed just the day before check-out, adding new requirements that had not been communicated before.
